I believe that when a vote is to be taken in Parliament every voter in Antigua and Barbuda should have the opportunity to say yes or no. However for reasons that are obvious this would not be practical, therefore the country is divided into different areas called constituencies, and one person is chosen to represent each constituency in parliament.

Now, because we insist on using an ancient antiquated political system given to us by our former slave masters we often find that the person we elect to represent us in parliament is at the same time representing a political party in the same parliament. I am determined to bring an end to this foolishness.

I believe that a Parliamentary Representative should always vote according to the will of the persons who sent them to parliament, not the will of any political party.

As part of my effort to accomplish this I have set up a website with provisions for online voting.

Now I am pleased to announce that I have purchased a low-power fm transmitter that I intend to put at the disposal of our parliamentary representative and the rest of our community so that we can discuss all proposed legislation before a vote is taken in parliament, then instruct OUR representative how to vote.
